Smorgasburg, Brooklyn flea and food market

Lionel, Arnaud and Hugo, our hosts, warned us: Williamsburg is full of amazing places. In the weekend, let’s go to Smorgasburg, gathering of street-food and fruit juices stalls on Saturday, then vinyls and old vintage toys on Sunday. And last but not least, a beautiful view of Manhattan to taste a veggie hotdog, a Jamaican jerk chicken and sip a fresh cut coconut.

Williamsburg and the Brooklyn Brewery

Williamsburg neighborhood, filled with Frenchies came to taste the American treats, is also known for its bars, and brewery. The Brooklyn Brewery is the most exported craft beer in the world. Tips: on Saturday morning, the one half-hour visit is free, but you’d better be there early.

Sunset from Brooklyn bridge

Hard to leave New York without enjoying a nice sunset. The best spot, recommended by Arnaud, known for always searching for the perfect Instagram shot, is located below the Brooklyn Bridge, not far from the so called best pizzeria in town and tourists boats.

Coney Island: Roller coasters and hotdogs

For the thrill-seekers and fine mustard amateurs, Coney Island is worth taking a spin despite the one-hour long metro trip. Old rusty attractions, beers, hotdogs and lobster rolls are many small treats you can taste on the shore, between fishermen and jet-skis. Kudos to the Cyclone, harder than it looks.

Détour through the Queens

We also stopped by Long Island, to the North of Brooklyn. If we didn’t drink a cocktail with the same name, we admired the old Pepsi-Cola advertising sign sitting on the waterfront, facing the skyscrapers of Manhattan.

Next stop: Washington!
